About the Author
A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Louis M. Maraj is an assistant professor of English in the Composition Program at the University of Pittsburgh. His scholarship spans rhetorical theory, Black studies, digital media studies, and antiracist pedagogies. Specifically, it engages with anti/racism, anti/Blackness, and expressive form. Maraj’s work can be found in Precarious Rhetorics (2018), Prose Studies (2019), and Women’s Studies in Communication (2020). Maraj is the cofounder of DBLAC (Digital Black Lit and Composition), a digital and in-person mentorship network of Black graduate students in fields studying language.
